Tabhaigh East Scoping Report

Mowi (Scotland) Ltd propose to install a new fish farm at Tabhaigh East in Loch Erisort, Isle of Lewis and appointed Atlantic58 to prepare the Request for a Scoping Opinion under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

 The Scoping Report includes:  

  • A description of the location, nature and purpose of the proposed fish farm

  • Identification of the key issues to be considered in the EIA

  • Identification of those matters that can be scoped out of the EIA or which need not be addressed in detail

  • A description of appropriate methods and approaches for assessment of potential impacts, including survey methodology, where relevant

The Tabhaigh East (fish farm) Scoping Report was successfully submitted to Comhairle nan Eilean Siar on 30 August 2024.

The EIA Report, which Atlantic58 is also preparing, will accompany a planning application for the proposed development under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended).
