Bluefin Tuna Stakeholder Workshop

Harris Development Ltd, in conjunction with WI Marine and Environmental Ltd, Aquatera and Fulton Fisheries, held a Bluefin Tuna Workshop today.

The results of the workshop will feed into the "Socio-economic study of a Bluefin Tuna Fishery for the Western Isles". This study has been commissioned by Marine Scotland, with HDL administering and project managing the study.

Working with scientific partners we hope a future catch and release fishery will address gaps in data surrounding Bluefin Tuna migration, stock numbers, sea temperature and oceanic current change.
