Atlantic58 is pleased to welcome Barnaby Ashton as a full time Junior Ecologist!

Barnaby made a career change to ecology after enjoying success in business roles. He completed his Master's in Ecology and Conservation at Aberdeen University in 2019 with a Commendation, and a Distinction for his thesis on the impact of differing land management regimes on moorland bird abundance and diversity. He has since worked as a commercial bird surveyor and writes in his blog (Natural Light Hebrides Natural Light Hebrides: Wildlife Photo Blog) where he showcases his passion for the natural world through ethical photography.

Barnaby will undertake ecological and ornithological surveys in addition to inputting into EIA and project work.
